The person
behind OXICATON
My teachers always told me I was unmusical. When the class sang, I was asked to mouth the words. When everyone practised instruments, I was told to do my homework.
Years later, accidents left me with hearing loss and tinnitus. Listening to music helped drown out the ringing, and music became an important part of my everyday life. I always felt I understood it. I just hadn’t been encouraged to create it.
About two years ago, I started producing my own music. Producing gave me a way to express what I heard and felt, without having to be the singer or play the instruments myself.
That became OXICATON, under Fast Rast Productions.
And for the record: I do consider myself an excellent cowbell player.
